Are We Alone??

China is building the world's largest radio telescope to find out if we are the truly alone in the universe. Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope, FAST is almost complete. Started in 2011, China’s news agency should be completed in 2016. It will be able to detect radio signals and possibly signs of life on other planets. This 'dish' shaped telescope will be the size of 30 football pitches. FAST will allow scientist to discover if there is life on Earth like Kepler-452b when other radio telescopes couldn’t. The excitement is starting because now we will truly find out if we are alone.

Tesla- the car company of the future

Tesla is the latest and greatest electric car technology. Most other electric cars get about eighty miles without recharging. A Tesla model S gets about 270 miles without recharging! Tesla is by far the number one electric car company. Also, some new technology in cars is autopilot or self driving. In three months the Tesla will release auto driving software in their model S.

Many other car companies are focusing on self driving cars too. One problem the new self driving Teslas are having is that the car gets of at exits that the owner does not intend to! I think that Tesla is the futures next big car company. Cars have come so far in the past hundred years! to learn more about this new technology go to this website-http://news.yahoo.com/tech/ (Links to an external site.)

Back To The Future!

Is Back To The Future inspiring brands to make new cool items? Nike is making self tying shoes, with the push of a button your shoes could be tied. There are also self driving cars that look exactly like the ones from the movie! The doors even fly up when you open them! Gas is no longer needed because there are cars that run on reusable fuel. you feed the car the gas and it is stored in a box at the back of the car. Back To The Future is a movie that has inspired many people and has made people want to do things that seem impossible!

Hyper loop

The Hyper loop is a airplane at high altitude. People say time is money so they invent the Hyper loop this will connect cities that are hours away. The hyper loop is a 700 mph is a fragment of the gigantic loop.T The hyper loop. The hyper loop has to be invented from the ground up to the top.
has to be invented from the ground up to the top.  They had study models and the real models that will go on the hyper loop. The hyper loop has to be invented from the ground up to the top. To see more about the hyper loop click the link below.

Back to the Future!

The day October 21, 2015, is not just any normal day, But the time Back To The Future predicted there would be flying cars, hover boards, self-lacing shoes, new high-tech companies, like Pepsi Perfect, And Texaco. Hundreds of Back To The Future fans come to appreciate the 30 year Anniversary of the great movie of the 80’s. And October 21 isn’t just because of all the new high-tech gadgets, but the time where Michael J. Fox, AKA Marty McFly, went to the future where the gadgets were everywhere! And the reason Back To The Future is so popular, is that it was not like any other time-traveling movie.
The Future is now the present and tomorrow, the past.

"Back to the Future II" 2015 vs. 2015 reality

We have finally reached the date that Marty McFly in the movie "Back to the Future II" time- traveled to! During the movie, Marty McFly time-travels to October 21, 2015, into the future. I think that the movie was pretty close to what has been developed in 2015. The movie offers that 2015 has hover boards, video calls, flying cars, etc.

For the hover boards, we sort of have them. The ones we have now require a metal course to fly around. So unfortunately it isn't really used in the way that the movie used them. Video calls are very much used now as well, thanks to Facetime and Skype. I think that video calls are a very big achievement and that the movie guessed right that we would have them. Of course we still don't have flying cars yet, but we have something like it. We only have a few prototypes that are more like driving planes rather than flying cars, but that's pretty close. In "Back to the Future II" they have drones walking dogs and doing different jobs. Although drones aren't too great for walking dogs, we still do have them, which is pretty cool. Last but not least, the Cubs. The movie has it that the Cubs win the World Series. Although that is very unlikely, it is still possible.

I really think that this is so fascinating, how they were so close to what 2015 would be like. But of course everybody always thinks the future will be “flying cars and hover boards”. I was surprised to hear that we do have many of the things that they predicted for 2015. I thought that this was so awesome in the fact that we have finally reached “the future”.

The Hoverboard

The Hoverboard is not floating but it is close to because it is held up by only one wheel. Something cool about it is that you can go up to 12 miles on it before you need to charge it.  But now I am guessing that you want to know how to drive it. You drive it by slightly tilting it and to accelerate you lean. But if you want one you will need to have 10,000$. It looks very easy to ride but it is actually  very hard to ride. It is similar to snowboarding and surfing when riding. The top speed of the Hoverboard is up to 20 miles an hour. This is just me but recommend you wear a helmet for safety reasons.

Japan's Robot Hotel

In Japan, one of the most amazing things just opened. It's a hotel. But not just any old hotel looking over the beach, with stains on the carpets and little furniture. This hotel is run by robots, of all things. This amazing Japanese hotel is the five-star Henn-na Hotel - a name that translates into 'Strange Hotel. Humanoid robots welcome Japanese-speaking humans to the Hotel, while the English are greeted by a robotic dinosaur, for reasons nobody knows. These wondrous robots are said to engage in intelligent conversations, carry baggage, and even operate locker rooms. See more at CNN’s website:

The new app called Boomerang

Guess what instagrams made a new app. Its called boomerang. It allows you to take quick videos and put them together. Once you are done you can share it to social media right from the app. It allows you to take pictures and cut out some time so you seem so fast. Have you ever thought vines were too long well now you can shorten the time and make it even 1 second long. You can use it for selfies and rewind it or cartwheels and even cars driving and you can make it go backwards too. You can also use slow motion and more. Boomerang seems like a super cool app.

25 Years Ago Today

Twenty Five years ago, the makers of "Back To The Future" promised everyone a date when all of the fantasy gadgets would be real. That date is October 21, 2015 and this date is Back To The Future Day. In honor of this day, Nike is working on self lacing sneakers, and the hover boards aren't just science fiction, also, Toyota has a car that runs on renewable fuel. At this year’s new york comic- con thousands of people came to see the new inventions. Till then, the path is clear for new gadgets only dreamed of, to be a reality.

3D Printers Can Change Peoples life

Hospitals around the world are using 3D printers to make a product on the printer to potentially make organ transplants! They have not done this yet but in the near future it could change peoples life's! I know there is a long waiting list for people to get organ transplants, but with this invention there probably would not be a waiting list!

I love the idea of a 3D printer because you can print whatever you want like phone cases; now wouldn’t that be cool! Also, even though they are expensive (around $1,000) it’s definely worth it! Finally, it could save someone’s life, and that in its self is wonderful! Amazing app that serves as eyes for the blind!

A amazing new app called NavCog is serving as eyes for the blind. This app is truly brilliant, by using headphones or small bluetooth earpiece, the app can navigate the blind anywhere, even the slightest turns or steps, NavCog will tell you where to go. This app was created by students at Carnegie Mellon and researchers at IBM have formulated and created this app.The Blind can even tell how someone is feeling, the app scan their face and if the app recognizes a person, it will say their name and if they look happy or sad. This app can even tell the blind what foods they are holding up to the phone camera. If you had a bag of potato chips in your hand, the app would tell you that they were potato chips, and quite possibly tell you that you have gained weight since yesterday and should choose an apple. The app has 1.5 meter localization accuracy and is free on the App Store. The only downside to this app is that it takes up 7.1 megabytes on your iPhone, iPod or iPad. Also, this app is recently available with the Android. I think this app is going to help the blind community get closer to having a easier life!

Real Iron Man

The U.S. military is very close to having their own iron man suits.  The idea was inspired when a U.S. military commando died kicking in a door in a raid in Afghanistan.  These suits called TALOS which means Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit won't give the soldiers the ability to fly but the suit will give soldiers more protection and battle awareness.  The suit will be made up of liquid armor that can solidify on command.  The Pentagon and other defense industries are trying to fine tune the exoskeleton with in-helmet technology for better communication and less body strain when wearing the suit.  In all I like this idea of an iron man suit for the military because our country will be more protected and hopefully we can help other countries with this advanced technology.  To learn more about this cool story visit the link: http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/06/politics/special-operations-iron-man-talos-suit/index.html

High Demand for Lego Bricks!

Lego is in high demand, and will not be able to manufacture all of the orders coming from Europe this season. The demand for these colorful bricks, which come in all shapes and sizes, has really put a strain on Lego's factories, and I can see why, since me, my family, and my friends all love Lego. The company is expanding its factories in Mexico, Hungary, and Denmark, but the new expansions won't be ready until 2020, which will not help Lego's brick shortage for the rest of the year, and holiday season. Ever since the successful Lego Movie, business really took off for Lego, even more than it already had, since they have always been a popular company. Lego is still owned by the same family that founded it in 1932, the Kirk Kristiansen family.

Apple's new case

Have you ever felt that heart-stopping moment when you drop your phone? Well apple has the solution. When you drop your phone the case's built in  micro sensors feel that it is falling and extends little bumpers and causes your phone to bounce off the ground. Apple has not announced whether the will build it or not. They have just created a patton so no one steals their idea. Yet again apple has created another amazing invention.

I think this is an amazing invention for your phone. I myself have dropped my Ipod and cracked my screen. I had to spend $70 in order to replace my screen. This new invention will will save many people money and time.

Astronauts Spot Incredibly Rare, Insanely Explosive Pair Of Stars!!

Astronomers at the ESO have announced an astonishingly unusual find.  A pair of double stars, dubbed VFTS 352, roughly 160,000 light years away in the Tarantula Nebula.  It happened because both stars were orbiting each other and while they were orbiting each other their gaseous envelopes touch.  Each is classified as an O-type star — and O-type stars are the rarest main sequence stars in the universe, comprising just 0.00003% of known stars. They’re extremely prone to going supernova and collapsing into black holes or neutron stars. Finding two of them 12 million kilometers apart and actively merging is amazing.  Right now, the stars of VFTS 352 are estimated to be sharing roughly 30% of their total mass between each other. No other overcontact binary is known to be this large or to share that great a percentage of its mass.  Right now, astronomers are predicting the star will die in one of two ways. Either the two stars will merge, forming a single giant and insanely unstable O-type star (possibly a hypergiant) before collapsing into a long-duration gamma ray burst (and incidentally, likely sterilizing every single planet within a non-trivial distance). Option #2 is If the stars are mixed well enough, they both remain compact and the VFTS 352 system may avoid merging. This would lead the objects down a new evolutionary path that is completely different from classic stellar evolution predictions. In the case of VFTS 352, the components would likely end their lives in supernova explosions, forming a close binary system of black holes.  Objects like  VFTS 352 are capable of causing extinction events across galactic distances.  Assuming the gamma-ray explosion to be spherical, the energy output of GRB 080319B would be within a factor of two of the rest-mass energy of the Sun (the energy which would be released were the Sun to be converted entirely into radiation).

U.S. Military is on its way to getting its Iron Man

An American commando has died. Two years later , the U.S. military is getting even closer than ever before to putting Iron Man on the front lines but their trying to at least get something that closely resembles the Iron Man tech. Sadly in my opinion they won't be able to get the suit to fly unlike the suit in hollywood can. The military's suit will be made of liquid armor that can solidify on command. With their protective gear this suit will be very hard to destroy , which is good because it will be able to protect the American troops. An amalgam of academics, defense industry types and Pentagon personnel are trying to fine-tune the battery-powered exoskeleton, which would reduce strain on the body, provide superior ballistic protection and in-helmet technologies to boost communications and visibility. “This is a program that we started after we lost an operator on a mission. The first guy coming into a particular building was engaged and unfortunately was mortally wounded. And in the wake of that, we asked ourselves, Couldn’t we do better in terms of protecting him, of giving him a better advantage when he’s at the most vulnerable point that we put our operators?” said Gen.

11 worst internet scams people still fall for

Have your parents ever gotten a mysterious email, where they are offered money or something to good to be true. Well chances are it’s a scam. You may be surprised at how many people give into scams. Last year over 13 billion dollars were given to scammers.

Some of the most common scams are very easy to give into. For instance The Nigerian Email Scam. Basically you get an email from a guy who says he's the personal attorney for a nationalist of your country, and that the nationalist of your country died. He wanted to give you millions of dollars. This email is obviously a scam so the right thing to do is to ignore the email and report it to spam.

Electrictric Lane That Charges Cars

Electric cars are very cool but running out of energy is not very cool. The british government has created a lane on a highway that charges your car as you drive. This is to help conserve stops to recharge your car. Most people charge their car at home, there are also portable chargers. But what if you are on a big highway without many stops? You can just hop no the charging lane and charge your car. Cables buried beneath the lane generate electromagnetic fields,  then your car turns it into electricity. The lane can detect when a car is coming and turns on so that it can conserve energy. For now the lane will be where regular drivers aren't allowed so that the government can run tests. The government is going to expand the number of lanes so they will have one about every twenty miles. A similar technique is used in South Korea where the shuttle buses get there power from underground cables.

I think that it is a great idea that Britain is doing this because it can help conserve the amount of stops that people take to charge their car. Also it helps because people can take less stops on a long journey so that they can shorten the time of the trip.

'Back to the Future' shoes on Kimmel show

On the Kimmel Jimmy show, Christopher Lloyd was there as a guest fro back to the future they talked about back to the future day it  was on october 21, 2015 they were basing it on the original movie "back to the future". In the movie it said on october 21, 2015 all of the not so realistic things would come true. They were mostly right they have made self lacing sneakers and a hoverboard that only works on a magnetic field. Plus Toyota has made a car that only works on renewable fuel, just like in the movie. They only looked at brands that had changed their logo like pepsi and texaco and now we are using those big brands to make back to the future day to life. And everyone is waiting to be able to buy these products.

New HTC Smart Phone

Earlier this month, HTC, a multinational smartphone company, released a smartphone that looks like the iPhone 6s, but way cheaper. The HTC One A9 is only $400, while the iPhone os $650. HTC was the first Android phone maker, but it has struggled from passing companies like Apple and Samsung. Before these companies skyrocketed, HTC was one of the top smartphone makers. This phone follows the same guidelines as the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S6, but a much lower price, making it a stale competitor. Many even prefer this phone over iPhone, regardless of the price tag. "We've gotten that feedback before, but it wasn't intentional,” stated Drew Bamford, the head of the creative labs of HTC.

I feel like this new, cheaper phone might be a good, even better competitor to other smart phones. I am always attracted to technology news and the different companies new gadgets. I am personally an apple person, but I think this new HTC is very cool, and a very dandy price.

Astroid Mining

This was The most interesting story about how we, humans could harness water out of Asteroid and the make rocket fuel out of it. They will do this by making gas stations the harness energy from the sun.  Then the energy helps split the hydrogen atoms from the oxygen atoms. After that The Oxygen and the Hydrogen turn into rocket fuel. That will helps us go further into space. Lewicki says that the metals on the asteroids could help us 3D print way better. Although the Lewicki company says it will be costly, some of the richest saw the potential and invested in the project.

I honestly think this is a great idea. People have always wanted to explore space and here's our break through. I encourage the Lewicki company to keep doing they're doing.

New Wireless Car Charger in the UK

Do you have an electric or hybrid car? Well you're in luck because UK is creating new car chargers that charge your car while you're driving! This uses magnetic induction technology to transfer electricity into your car's battery. Even though this is still a prototype, the UK is still very close to perfecting it. Also, the road would sense the car and immediately begins the process.

I really hope that this new technology will spread across the world and that most cars will become electric because of this.  I bless you UK, please finish it, it will be amazing!

What "Back To the Future" Were Correct (or Incorrect ) About October 21, 2015

"Back To The Future" got some things right and some things wrong.  First of all, the hands-free gaming the kids taunt Marty McFly with has been invented but it's a little different.  For example, "Xbox Kinect".  Secondly, video calling has been invented.  FaceTime, Skype, Google Hangouts, and Oovoo are  all examples of video calling.  Probably the most wanted thing in “Back To The Future”.  Flying cars.  They haven’t been invented just yet, but many companies have tried to invent a flying car.  Also, drones have been invented.  Many companies like Amazon sometimes use drones to deliver packages.  Finally, there are a lot of sequels, but none of them feature “Jaws 19” like the movie does.

Japan's Robot Hotel

The reception desk is staffed by a robot dinosaur, so chances of a room upgrade are going to be fairly slim. That hasn't stopped the first guests from checking in to what's billed as the world's first robot hotel. The five-star Japanese Henn-na Hotel recently became the world's first hotel run by robots. Huis Ten Bosch President Hideo Sawada said he hoped robots would eventually run 90% of the property. More human like robots greet the Japanese speaking guests while a dinosaur greets the English speaking guests. More functional droids carry luggage and manage lockers for guests. This is slowly growing into a cool attraction more than a nice place to stay, although there have already been many people checking in. Pepper the humanoid robot

Pepper the humanoid robot was built in Japan. The robot was built by Aldebaran Robotics. It was first revealed by Softbank on June 2014. The device offers opinions to customers and recipes. On June 20th of this year, Pepper hit the market. Selling for 198,000 yen in America that is 1,637 dollars. They made 1,000 and sold within a minute. They released another 1,000 and they were sold again in one minute.

I personally think that Pepper is a great robot. I love the concept of having a robot that gives you options and opinions. 1,637 dollars might be allot, but it will be very useful around the house.

Facebook's New feature!

Facebook is adding a new feature to its website.  This new feature will alert you when your account was selected for a government sponsored hack. The alert they will send you will say to turn on a feature called "Login Approvals". This feature will send you a security code that you have to put in every time you try to log in to Facebook on a different device. Facebook is hoping that this will prevent hacking.

I personally think this is a great idea! Hacking is happening everyday.  This is just one little improvement, but if everyone starts doing this it could go a long way.
